Ordering & Shipping Confirmation
After placing your order, you’ll receive an email confirmation within minutes. If there are any issues with your order or delivery, a Modern Parts Specialist will contact you for clarification.
If you’re picking up at a Modern store, a Parts Specialist will notify you when it’s ready. If your order is shipping or delivering, you’ll receive a confirmation when it’s in transit.
All sales on this website are conducted on an FOB Shipping Point basis.
Pricing Errors
Despite our best efforts, items on our website may on rare occasions be mispriced. If an item’s correct price is lower than our listed price, we will charge the lower amount and ship your item. If an item’s correct price is higher than our listed price, we will either contact you for instructions or cancel your order and notify you.
Shipping & Delivery Timeframes
When Will My Order Arrive?
In-stock items at our main warehouse ship the same business day when ordered before 2:00 PM EST. Orders shipping from offsite or supplier warehouses typically require 2–5 business days to process, based on availability and location.
Once shipped, deliveries typically arrive within 1–5 business days, depending on destination and selected method.
International: The Modern Shop currently ships to Canada only. We do not offer international LTL shipments; however, customers may arrange LTL pickup from our Bristol, PA warehouse.
Flat-Rate Shipping (TVH / TotalSource Parts Only)
Eligible TVH/TotalSource parts that ship via ground parcel qualify for flat-rate shipping based on your cart subtotal. The flat rate is applied automatically at checkout when all items in the shipment are eligible.

Eligibility & Exclusions
- Applies to TotalSource parts shipping by ground parcel within the contiguous U.S.
- Not eligible for items requiring LTL or designated as heavy/oversize (e.g., forks, engines, individual tires or wheels ≥ 75 lbs, pallet trucks, chargers ≥ 75 lbs, attachments/load backrests ≥ 75 lbs, LP gas tanks, side shifts, arrow boards).
- Flat rate does not apply to shipments to Alaska, Hawaii, or Puerto Rico.
- If your cart mixes eligible and ineligible items, shipping is calculated per shipment based on the applicable policy.
Shipping Costs (Non-TotalSource / Mixed Carts)
For shipments not covered by the flat-rate schedule or TVH surface freight policy, costs are calculated at checkout based on address, weight, dimensions, and method selected. Rates cannot be modified after an order is placed.
Expedited Shipping
Expedited options are available. Orders placed with Next Day Air before 2:00 PM EST will ship the same business day; orders placed after this time ship the next business day. Orders placed on Fridays deliver the following business day. Please contact us to discuss available expedited methods for your items.
Missing, Incorrect, or Stolen Shipments
If tracking shows delivered but you did not receive your package, contact us immediately. We will file a carrier claim, which may take up to 21 days. Confirmed lost or stolen shipments will be replaced or refunded upon claim completion.
Incorrect shipments must be reported within 30 days of shipment.
Return Policy
All returns must be initiated within 30 days of the shipment date. Items must be unused, in original condition, and in their original packaging. Items such as seal kits or gaskets must remain sealed to be eligible.
- Returns may be subject to a 25% restocking fee.
- Special orders, Hazmat, and electrical components are non-returnable.
- Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility unless the return is due to our error.
To start a return, please complete our Returns Request Form. Credits are issued within 14 business days of receipt and inspection. Damage claims must be made within 3 days of delivery.

Important Notes
We recommend contacting our team before finalizing your purchase to ensure you’re selecting the correct part for your equipment. While we strive to assist, we cannot cover return shipping costs for customer selection errors.
Our policy may change without notice and does not override consumer rights mandated by law.
International Shipping (Canada)
International shipments to Canada incur shipping charges based on weight and destination. Customers are responsible for customs duties, taxes, and clearance fees, and for any damages arising from customs inspections.
International Returns & Refused Packages
If a package is returned due to incorrect address, refusal, or restricted items, the customer is responsible for return shipping fees. Refunds are issued for merchandise only, less:
- A 25% restocking fee
- Any additional costs assessed by customs (e.g., quarantine, shipping, warehousing)
If a package is rejected and abandoned by customs, no refund will be issued.
